A White Christmas

It was fun to wake up to some new fallen snow!!
We haven't had a White Christmas in years!  It was so much fun!!

The magic continued that Santa came to our house!!
Jenna got a Jessie doll from Toy Story and Peyton got dragon legos!

I got photos of all the grandkids put on a fleece blanket for my mom!  It turned out incredible and the photos turned out really clear for as big as they were!!!  It was a fun surprise to give to her fo all the things she does for me and my kids!!!!!
Meagan enjoying her new doll's bottle- too bad she won't take her own bottle!!  I am glad she likes the baby doll!!!!!

We had a Wonderful Christmas filled with Friends and Family.   Both Peyton and I had gotten the stomach flu and Peyton was still pretty sick!!  I felt a littly icky but was doing pretty well!!
We are just so Thankful for all our Blessings including our health.

On Christmas Eve, Peyton was really sick and was throwing up and Jenna came into the bathroom to tell me how she had gone in her room and said a prayer for her brother and she knew he would get better.
That is what I am truly Thankful for- our knowledge of a Heavenly Father who loves us, a Savior who died for us, and that we can communicate with them!!!

I hope your Christmas was just as Merry!
Happy New Year!!!

The True Spirit of Christmas

We are ready for Christmas tomorrow and there are already many presents under the tree and others we have already opened (see post below).  We have one under the tree that has nothing inside.  I wrapped an empty box this year at our Relief Society dinner to represent our gift to Christ.  I went home and placed it under the empty tree and talked to the kids about it.  We have continued to look at it and talk about it as see it sitting under there and as we add other gifts around it.

This year we got the idea to do the 12 days of service.  My kids made a book and wrote down ideas and drew pictures of all the different things they could do to serve and give to others as their gift to our Savior.  We have tried every day to do something.  It has been a wonderful experience as we have helped each other, caroled to friends, given donations, bought gifts for others, made a meal for someone, wrote a letter or sent a card, given a smile, or as the kids have tried so hard to make good choices and listen to me.  The spirit of Christ has filled our home.  I love Christmas!!  I am thankful for so much including this time of year, for my Savior who gove me the greatest gift of all- the Atonement, I am thankful for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and for a living prophet.  I am so thankful for my family, for my parents, sisters, and my two children who continue to amaze me.  And for extended family and for all of you- the greatest friends in the world!!!

Merry Christmas!!
May God Bless You and your Family!
Love,
Julie, Jenna, and Peyton Roberts

Early Christmas Presents

Jenna got an early Christmas present from her Lola (Michaels Mom) she got her nails painted!  Jenna of course loved the whole experience and loves her nails!!!

Peyton got a pillow-pet for his Christmas Eve gift.  They get to open one present on Christmas Eve and since they were going to Michaels they opened their gift earlier today.  Jenna got a wrap-around towel.  She loves it since she feels so grown up!!  Both my kids are getting so big!!!!

Letter from Santa

The kids were so excited when Santa answered back after receiving their letter.
He let them know he knew they were good this year, and they are even at the top of the Good list!
The kids have even tried harder to be good this week.
Jenna's shirt just happens to say- I'm on the Good List!!!!

Gingerbread Houses

For Family Home Evening this week we had two families over and made Gingerbread houses.  The Allens and Angersteins.  It is fun to be together with friends and family.  Everyone partipated and worked together including my dad which was really neat!  I love bonding!!!

It was so much fun and a little crazy.  For the kids to make thier own they did small ones using graham crackers.  They had trouble staying up!!  We still all had a really good time.  My kids love projects and this is one we look forward doing together every year no matter the
challenges!!!

I also enjoyed being creative and creating even if I am not very good at it.  And mine came from a kit.  I do love the experience!  I love Christmas and all the fun that comes with it!!!!

For our Ward Christmas Party we had a wonderful dinner and then a beutiful musical program!  We really enjoyed it and helps to get into the Christmas Spirit as we spend time with our family, our Ward family, listen to music, and enjoy individuals talents.
I am so thankful for the Church, and for my Ward Family!
I loved celebrating the Birth of our Savior with each of you!

We BELIEVE!

My kids have been so excited to go to the mall to see Santa and tell him what they want for Christmas. They have been changing their mind of what they want since they could up until they would actually talk to him.  So last week we had two snow days and it was the perfect opportunity to go.  The day before the kids wrote letters and then on Tuesday we went to Macy's and mailed the letters and then went to sit on his lap.  This way Santa will not forget what they want.  I loved watching how excited they were.  There were no lines so my kids went up to him and he conversed with them for a long time.  Peyton was excited since Santa told him he could ask for more than one thing instead of what mom said.

Jenna asked for: a real camera, and a Jessie doll from Toy Story.
Peyton asked for: Transformers, Legos, and Playmobil.

We were so excited David and Meagan could join us.
The pictures are worth a thousand words.
I still Believe in Santa  Claus and am thankful for the Spirit of Christmas Santa stands for!

We went and volunteered as elves for the Polar Express!!!

We all played in the snow for when the kids drove up on the train they saw Santa's Elves!!!
There was a lot of snowball fights!!!!

It was very cold but, also a lot of fun and a good experience!

I may have to go one year where I actually take the kids and ride the train!!
