1st Grade

The School's Open House was last night where we went and met Jenna's teacher, saw the classroom, brought her school supplies and put them in her desk!! She is so excited for 1st grade and is now Ready!!!

We loved the classroom and how it is set up. There is a pet frog, and goldfish! It is decorated in a clown theme and a fun circus tent is in the room with books inside to read!!!

Jenna has many friends in her class this year including best friend, Emily!

Jenna was very excited for the first day of school, today!!!

We picked out her outfit, packed her lunch, and she is ready for all day!!!!!!!!

Peyton starts tomorrow- Me and him were not as ready as Jenna was!!!

Peyton kept hugging her and telling her he would miss her!!

I had to hold back tears!!!

My little girl is growing up!!!!!!

Touch a Truck

Laura told me that Wadsworth was doing, "Touch a Truck" which she had done once before just not in Wadsworth. We decided to check it out. It was really cool. They had all kinds of vehicles there for kids to see and climb on. There was an Army Truck, a boat, police car, fire truck, race car, NASA, Ronald McDonald, book mobile, ice cream trucks, a helicopter, and many more. It was all free including lunch and ice cream which I wasn't expecting. The kids jumped in a bounce house, blew bubbles, climbed on trucks, and more. We had an amazing time!!!

Peyton's new obsession is flying, space, and science. Jenna is into it too. They loved talking to NASA and they loved the helicopter. Peyton was a lucky boy to get to sit in the front of the helicopter, they were not allowing kids to do so. The pilot granted hime permission and showed him around. Peyton said he now wants to be a pilot when he grows up!!!!

Jenna's Lemonade Stand

So what do you do when your daughter begs to sell lemonade!!! You end up buying signs, making t-shirts, making lemonade, inviting friends over, and then procede to pay for the lemonade that you just bought and prepared so that she/ they feels successful!!!

I know I am crazy!!! And the kids enjoyed every minute of it!!! It was last minute and we only lasted an hour!! The kids basically made a $1 a piece but with help from mom and a friend they walked away with $3. I know I am a sucker!!!!!!

And I am proud of it!!!!!!!!!!

Out with the old and in with the New

I got the van from my parents three years ago and it has been a great vehicle!!! We named her "Big Mama" and she has 168,000 miles on her. We have no AC all summer, no radio, the automatic doors don't work and the list goes on and on!!
We were ready for a new car!!! We will miss our Van!! Lots of memories!!!

We just picked up "Daisy" our new car! It is a Mazda 5 and we LOVE it!!!
It is small, the size of a car with van doors and it can seat 6! It is perfect for our family right now!! It has a CD player, AC and a sun roof!! We are spoiled!!!

I feel really blessed!! Thanks to Steph and Jerry (friends) we now have matching vehicles!!!

Akron Zoo

We love going to the Akron Zoo- it is just the right size for us. We have a zoo pass and try to use it often. The zoo just put in a new carousel and we wanted to go and take a look- and of course it cost extra to ride! We met friends at the zoo and we had a great time. Mathew and Josie were our old next door neighbors. We miss them terribly. We loved having such wonderful neighbors!!!! The kids have not seen each other in a while and yet you would have thought we had never moved. It was really hot and humid today with a little bit of rain but, we all had a perfect day!!!!
