Half Way There...

I have been going to school now for two years, this is my 5th semester!  Every semester I wonder if I can get through it and every semester somehow I do!  Last semester was difficult with my Practicum (Internship) plus my three other classes I took!  I was then told I could not graduate with my Associate Degree, somehow I missed it 1 humanities credit!!!  I was fine and decided to start my Bachelors classes and take a humanities course this semester- "Dance as an Art form".  My plate is full once again with 14 credits and I have also started working at the Child Development Center on Campus.  I am there very part time and am enjoying it.  The balance is sometimes difficult between kids, school, homework- for all of us, and now a job, but I hope to surrvive once again!!!

Last Saturday Night we went out to eat at Pad Tai's to celebrate the Half Way mark (Adult's only, and Matt was taking the Picture).  I got an e-mail a week ago that told me I could come pick up my Associate Degree!  So I now have it in hand and it is official- one step down, one goal accomplished, and now closer to who I want to become!!!

Martin Luther King Day

We went roller skating with the Girl Scouts!!
It was so much fun!

My kids think that Ice Skating is easier and that they are "gooder" at Ice Skating than at Roller Skating.  I think we will need to practice some more!!

We then in the afternoon headed to the Rain Forest which is part of the Cleveland Zoo!

This was just walkin around!!!

We had a good time!
Mainly, being together!!!

Note: Akron Zoo members now only get a discount at all the other zoos!!

Frosty

My Dad and Peyton made this and Jenna joined in when she got home on Saturday!!
Winter to us means Snowmen!!!
This is Frosty!!  My kids love Frosty!
They built Frosty very carefully and made sure he has everything he needs including FEET!
My kids favorite story: Snowmen at Night!!!
It is a fun read for you and your kids of any age, there is also Snowmen at Christmas which is a fun sequel!!

Girl Scout- Sock Hop

Saturday there was a Daddy-Daughter Dance for the Girl Scouts!!

What a great group of girls!!!!

It was so much fun- I got the opportunity to help and be there!!
The Dad's were all great with participating and dancing with their little girls!!
The DJ was awesome!!!
The best part was to see the big smile on my little girls face!!!!

Happy 2011!!

2010 has been a Wonderful year for us, I am sad to see it go.
It is hard to let go of the familiar and to move on to change and new things.
2011 starts new adventures:
-I am begininng my bachelors, feel a little like I am starting over!!
-I am begininng a job working at a Preschool on Campus!
-I will actually receive my Associate Degree in May
-I am planning on traveling and getting my Passport

I am sure there will be much more that is awaiting!!

I am excited to see what this year brings!!
and a little nervous....

I hope the New Year brings you many blessings!!

New Years Eve...

We went down to Lock 3 for the afternoon before First Night-
We had all the fun without the crowds
We went on a "Magical" Train ride
 Goofed ARound

 and tried to Ice Skate

This was the city's advent calendar to count down to First Night! It was pretty cool!!

We had so much fun!!!
We went with the Allens and the Perkins!!
David refused to ice skate so maybe next time!!
We loved it and can't wait to go again!
It was about 50 degrees out- so nice!! Except the Ice was melting and there was a big puddle!!  So funny as the kids kept slipping and sliding around and getting sopping wet!!!
After that we were exhausted!!! So we went home snacked and watched movies!
My kids went to bed by 8:30!  Maybe next time they will stay up!

And Jenna had ended up getting the Flu bug the day before that me and Peyton had !
We were so thankful she recovered quickly!
