Happy St. Patty's and Happy Spring

 Happy St. Patrick's Day!!
My kids this year were really into the holiday so made a trap to catch a leprechaun.  The trap was tipped over and no leprechaun!! They did find two real gold coins!!  They were so excited that they wrote a Thank you note to him!!  Then when they went down for breakfast, cereal was poured in two bowls!!!  The box of cereal was tipped over and there was a wee bit of a mess!!  They poured milk in their bowls and the milk turned green- that tricky leprechaun!!  Sure was a fun day!!

Saturday the kids went with a friend to a local library and made kites!! It was a fun activity especially since it was a perfect day to fly them!!!  Thank you friends!!!!

We have so much to be grateful for!!!
Family, Friends, and now Spring Time!

My Poem- don't laugh!!

Give them a Kiss and a Hug

You are small, not very tall,
And your parents want to give you their all.

They want you to learn and to grow,
To be happy, healthy and have a lot, you know.

They only smile when you smile,
And will go the extra mile!

Go easy on your Mom and Dad,
No whining, crying, don’t be sad!

You don’t need a lot of candy and toys,
Play outside and make some noise.

You don’t want them to shake and shrug,
So give your mom and dad a kiss and a hug.

Busy with the Kids

Tuesday February 22nd the Kindergartners had grandparents Day- my mom and I were kind of over it!
Lola and Granbob (Mikes parents came).  The kids put on a program, then there was a schedule of things to do with the grandparents.  I was very blessed that Akron U celebrated Presidents Day on Tues instead of Monday- so I had no classes!  It was a good day and Peyton is doing really good in school and loves it!
His favorite part is Art and Music!!!

The kids are singing about the color wheel.  They are so cute!!!

And here Peyton's class is doing a dance that teaches rythm and beat!!

Jenna with the Girl Scouts got to attend a Career Fair focusing on Women in Engineering!  It was held at the University of Akron and was a lot of fun.  There was a story teller who used math to tell her story, the girls build a rocket, cleaned pennies, talked about how asphault is made, learned about nature, and the Akron Zoo was there and talked about different jobs to work with the animals!!  It was a really fun day for Jenna!

This was the favorite part- touching the animals!!!  This animal is part of the racoon family and lives in the rain forest- so cute!!!!

From my English Class- wanted to share!!

I am learning about writing what is called a Satire, the Prof used this as an example and I wanted to share!!

  “Fairy Tale for the Ages”
Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl “Will you marry me?” The girl said “NO!” And she lived happily ever after and went shopping, dancing, camping, drank martinis, always had a clean house, never had to cook, did whatever she wanted, never argued, didn’t get fat, traveled more, had many lovers, didn’t save money, and had all the hot water to herself. She went to the theater, never watched sports, never wore friggin’ lacy lingerie that went up her bottom, had high self esteem, never cried or yelled, felt and looked fabulous in sweat pants and was pleasant all the time. The End.
