The Fun Run

We got the chance to go down town Akron and do the Fun Run this year!!

I do run here and there and have been getting up early and running more regularly- but, did not participate in the marathon this year. Maybe next year. But, I love going down and being apart of it all!! What a great experience!! Congrats to all those who did participate- What an accomplishment!!

Girls Weekend!!

This last weekend my mom, Laura, and I drove to columbus to meet Becky to celebrate her birthday which was yesterday! Happy Birthday Becky! We were going to go Saturday and last minute went down Friday night and got a hotel room. My kids went to their dad's and had a good time. I had an amazing time!! The stress of school and life was a little overwhelming and this is exactly what I needed:

1- A cute baby

2- Fun

3- Pampering: we watched letters to Juliet and ordered take-in!

also painted nails and wore face masks!!!

4- Ate Delicious Food!

5- And went Shopping!!!

Horse Back Riding

Monday Nights are Family Nights. And for awhile we have been doing them with the Allen Family. Well, this Monday night was Hiram's Birthday. The original plans fell through and last minute it fell into place to take the kids horse back riding. The friend with the horse- my parents know through Home Teaching. Another great aspect of our church.

So it all came together and we had a fantastic evening. My kids have done this before and would love to do it more often. The Allen boys and Sis. Allen had never been on a horse and got the chance. Luckily they loved it!!! Sister Allen did say- it is SCARY!!!

I do think pictures tell a thousand words!! Perfect evening it was!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Visitors

My good friend- Katherine came two weekends ago to visit from Boston. I got one night with her and we lived it up!!! I had the best time- shopping, out to eat, chick flick, painted toes, and face masks!!!! It was the best!!!!!!!! Can't wait till next time!!!

Sis. Richardson is a good friend of my mom's from forever ago. She has kids me and my sister's ages. We have many, many memories. She popped over last minute last Friday!!
What a treat!! She brought 10 of her adopted daughters with her!! She now has a total of 25 children!!!!!!!!! It was such a treat to have them!! It was a great day!! We want to go visit them next year on their farm in Missouri.

Their children have been gathered from all over the World and they have a great story to go with it. Brian and Annie Laurie Richardson just published a book, the Gathering, that tells their story.
We loved meeting these girls and spending an afternoon with them. It wasn't long enough!! And it makes me want a really big family!!! I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Family Fun

One night I got home from class and we jumped in the car and headed to Wadsworth for their Taste of Wadsworth. It was so much fun and we got lots of yummy treats!!! As well as they had inflatables for the kids!!!

Peyton dresses up as something different daily!!! This is Sunday evening and David came over! The glasses are Davids from Primary!! Boys are so much fun!!!

I am doing an internship for school at an on campus Preschool. I have many ideas such as making our own ice cream but, figured I should try it out with my kids first. I called to invite David over and Becky surprised us so Loni and Morgan got to join us as well!!! The girls were off playing during picture taking so it is just the boys in the pictures. It was so fun!!!

We got a tip to use towels to shake up the ice cream!!!

Labor Day

We started off Labor Day with a parade in barberton!! It was a lot of fun!! And very political!!

So cool- Jenna and Peyton this year started jumping off the diving boards as well! My baby's are growing up!!! This was also are first summer swimming to the docks!
