Black Friday!

Every year I look forward to the day after Thanksgiving! The adventure, the good deals, and I love to shop! This year we decided to attempt to shop all night! Lodi Outlets were opening up at 11pm and promising a $15
giftcard to the first 500 people! We were so there! So we started with many people saying they wanted to join us- then it dwindled! Me and Becky were so In! Laura chickened out! My friend Jessie was hesitant but, decided she had to come and see what it was all about! She convinced her brother and sister-in-law to join us! The poor souls had come for a leisurely visit and ended up fighting the crowds with us! We waited in line for almost 2 hours but we got our $15 gift card!
We were soo excited and jumping up and down when a lady asked what all the excitement was about and when we told her her response was, "Is that all?" We couldn't believe it!
We should have told her we were not made of money like she is and $15 is a big deal to us!

Well we are crazy! We got good deals went home, Jessie came with us we fell asleep for an hour then were ready to take on Wal-Mart! That is an adventure! What fun! What holiday spirit! Standing around a crate that is wrapped up and when we heard the distant noise, quickly start tearing it open and grabbing the item you want so desperately!!! We all got what we went there for! VICTORY!

We continued our shopping at Target, Kohls, Toys R Us, and JC Penny's. As the shopping continued some us dropped off and our numbers dwindled! I kept going! I couldn't stop until I got all the good deals I could! My shopping is pretty much done now! I can now relax, and enjoy the Christmas Season!!!!

The whole night, through it all the lines, the maddness and the fights I kept telling myself I am CRAZY!!! I know I am but, I love it!!!!!!!!! Till next year!!!!!!!!!!

Thanksgiving Day!

My favorite Thanksgiving food has to be the dessert!
I ate lots of yummy food and then asked when we were
cutting the pies! My favorite had to be Laura's pumpkin roll!
All was great! And Becky served us her homemade pumpkin pie!

It is fun to have family together! The kids love being all together,
They get along really well! Becky's two kids are Loni and Morgan
in the center. Morgan loves horses and that horse goes everywhere with
him when he is in town! Laura's little boy is David and he is the one crying!
He is so much fun but, was not happy about getting his picture taken!

This year Bonnie invited us over! It was great to be able to
help with the dinner but, not worry about all the cleaning
before hand! Bonnie and Steve Perkins are Laura's inlaws and
live around the corner from my parents! They are
just extended family for us as well!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
I hope you did as well this year! There is so much to be
Thankful for!

PreSchool Fundraiser

The Preschool had a fundraiser where there was a Dinner, a program and a basket raffle. Michael and Melissa won a painting basket and Jared Varner won a Movie Night basket. The kids were a little dissapointed that we didn't win and Jenna wanted flowers for her outstanding singing performance- but, we still had a great night! Michael was able to come for the Dinner and both sets of Grandparents came! The kids sang a couple songs for us and it was really cute!

More Snow!

So we have gotten lots of snow!! And another four inches at least after this! The kids have loved it! They only want to be outside stomping, and playing in it! I am not to fond of the cold weather but, it does feel more like the Holidays and it is fun to see the kids having so much fun with the SNOW!

First Snow!

Last night my dad and I went shopping and we could see that the rain was turning to slush and when we walked out of Wal-mart it was Snowing! This morning we woke up to big snowflakes. The kids were so excited- shouting Christmas is almost here! Not much has stuck as you can see and it is already melted what had stuck! They had to taste it and said it is wet and cold! I really just wanted one cute/ good pics of the first snow and my kids but, Jenna really gets into this!!!

Jenna took these two pictures! She is a natural photographer! Now she just needs her own camera!

Peyton aka Spiderman

Peyton started to get into Spiderman not ever even knowing who Spiderman was. I think boys just pick-up what is cool! And he knew that Spiderman was cool right away. Then between friends and Preschool the liking Spiderman became an obsession to Spiderman!!! Now he is Spiderman!! I think it is crazy! He has everything Spiderman- shirts, sweater, socks, underwear, bandaids, 2 suits!, gloves, even mac & cheese!, tattoos, shoes, and pj's! (You can see most below)

Recently Michael and Melissa anounced they are getting married. They were explaining to the kids about the wedding and their parts. Jenna understood being a flower girl and wearing a pretty dress right away. They told Peyton he too would be in the wedding and would wear a suit. He asked, "A spiderman suit?" They laughed and said no, a suit like what Daddy will wear. And innocently he asked, "Daddy has a spiderman suit?"

Oh, that is not it. For thanksgiving he says he is thankful for Spiderman. Then we were talking about Christmas. I know he wants Spiderman stuff. I asked him what he would want- Spiderman toys, or Spiderman sheets, or More Spiderman clothes? His response was-"All of it!!" He claims that Santa will bring him everything he wants and he wants all of it!!

What is a mother to do? Especially a mother on a budget! Poor Peyton- he will not be getting All of It!!! But, he already has PLENTY!!!

I have to admit I love my Spiderman boy! He is sweet and wants to be my superhero. He says he is going to grow up and fight all the bad guys!!!! My Hero!!
Yes, Jenna is into it, too! She is a great big sister to her bro!

Jenna's Prayer

Yesterday I left the house with the kids in a hurry. We were headed to get the kids pictures taken. I pulled out of the driveway and got 3 houses down and realized I had forgotten a prop that I needed. So I quickly pulled over and made a quick U-turn, and sped off to get back to the house. A second later I see a police officer is behind me and I had said something to the kids like "oh man now there's a policeman behind me, now." I pulled into the driveway one second later and nothing happened. I ran in the house, grabbed what I needed, and ran back to the car.
As I climbed in and shut the door I heard them end a prayer. I asked what they were doing and Jenna said they said prayer that we would get there safely!! I loved it and was trying not to laugh out loud to hard. I love that my kids will turn to prayer when there is something that they are worried about!

My new "Do"

The votes are in and so I went Dark and Short! Janie cut my hair (it's an A-line cut) and I like it- it is cute and fun! I colored my hair myself and have decided it is not a job I should be doing. It claims to be foolproof so I really must be dumb. It is OK for now but, not the best coloring job- and it isn't the color, I don't think. It is patchy. There is other color in my hair and it already looks washed out. And this is right after I was done with it. It is red, which I wanted but thought it wouldn't look like this for another 2-3 weeks. So I may have to tell Janie to schedule me for a color! So I am ready for your opinion- I know everyone has one!!! :)

Change!

Fall is my favorite Season! I love October and November! It has been great this fall because even though I look forward to the change I also have my reservations. I am not a fan of winter or the cold. We have had such a warm fall. We have had our cold days and then it has warmed right back up like it is warning me of what is to come but, letting me transition slowly into it. With the unusual warm weather the trees changed their colors later this year and so the leaves have not all fallen off yet! I am enjoying my fall longer this year than I have ever remembered. I have found it to be one of God's many tender mercies in my life right now.

Last week a friend of mine told me she wanted to set me up on a date with her brother-in-law who was coming into town for a visit. I didn't know about it, I wondered if I was ready for that change in my life- Dating! It has been awhile for me and I am a MOM of two kids that drives a mini van- not so sure I am good as a date! My friend, Jessie told me that it could be a practice date and help me get out there. I knew I needed it and was ready for this change! I also asked myself what do I have to loose, the guy lives 2000 miles. :)

So I was ready- I like change! I am young, fun and can be/ maybe a flirtatious girl!?! Well the date was planned, Michael had the kids and I looked GREAT! J/K! We planned a double date with Jessie and James. They picked me up and He came to the door. I jumped into the back of the van and sat by Jessie. We took their kids to the babysitter and then proceeded to dinner. Now the plan was for us to go out to dinner and then they would take me home and I would go on to a RS tasters night. Well dinner went great we had good conversation, lots of laughs, and seemed to hit it off. It was 7:15 we picked up the kids and then it was time for me to go home. I was asked if I wanted to go back to their house or to taster's night! I said I was told that Jessie was going to bed early and so the date would end early. We laughed and they said I was invited to come over!
We went back with the intent to play games and ended up hanging out and talking. Jessie and James joined us when they weren't chasing kids and putting them to bed. We had so much fun talking that the night went later than either of us expected! It was a great practice date! I needed this date to give me confidence for future dates and now I think I am ready for dating! I might actually still got it! I do know now I can go out and have a night where I am not Cinderella or Mom and have some fun by just being me! This change is a good one! We need change, it is bound to happen! I say, "Bring it on!" For all things there is a season!

Jenna's 5th Birthday!

Jenna is my sweetheart! She is level headed, wants to do the right thing but, isn't very emotional! She is very girly and yet likes sports, to get dirty, and will play spiderman with Peyton! She is such a joy to have around! She loves jewelry, dressing up, polly pockets, barbies, fairy tales and princesses and she loves Build-a-Bear! I am so thankful that Jenna is my daughter and can't see life without her! Happy Birthday Sweetheart!
Today Jenna turned 5! We had a few of Jenna's friends (+ siblings) come over for a small birthday party. Jenna got to go to Build-a-Bear with her Lola so we ended up having a Teddy Bear Picnic! Each of the kids brought their favorite stuffed animal and we ate lunch (outside since in was such a great day), had bear cup cakes and played games including going on a bear hunt! It was a really fun day and Jenna got some wonderful gifts! She got barbies, jewelry, clothes, a webkinz, the tinkerbell movie, and coloring! It truly was fun! Thanks for all who could come!!
