So what do you think I should do?

I need some opinions...

What do I do about all the kids clothes and toys that we are not using. They continue to grow and I continue to hold onto it. I do get rid of some things and have shared other things but, still have a lot of STUFF! I am not going to have another child any time soon so, what do I do? I can't decide if this is the year to go through it one more time and really just get rid of most of it. I am sure there will be those certain pieces that I will want to hold on to. But, I need to make a final decision. I have an opportunity to have a yard sale with someone else and I need to decide if I should just put it all up for sale or hold on to it for a little longer.

Is holding on to things healthy? Is it creating a sense of false hope? Or is that what I am suppose to do. Be patient and have hope that someday my prince will come and I will need all these clothes and toys. Of course if that is to happen, I may want all new stuff! So please give me your opinion!!!

Thank you for your help!!!

Me on Motherhood!

I have been thinking about being a Mother and I have only come up with how grateful I am! For some reason this week I have been very emotional with some real tender experiences. Mainly feeling for others and their difficult situations all relating to motherhood. I have held my little ones a little closer and kissed them a little more often. And with last nights thunder, lightning, and really strong winds I slept with both kids in my room close to me. I am so thankful to be a mom! I have realized that motherhood has really changed me!!

Here is all the things that I have learned since I became a mom:

Sacrifice, Patience, Unconditional Love, Pain, Joy, I can survive on very little sleep, I like sleep, empty boxes are the best toys in the world, kisses make everything feel better, Forgiveness, TV is a very good babysitter, Suckers are important to have on you at all times, Bedtime is the best time of the day!, Parenting books don't know what they are talking about, time-outs don't always work and either does threatening, a kind word always works, You have to Do what you want them to Do not only what you say to Do., Story time is when time seems stand still, Time flies by, Pictures are a must have, the heart captures more memories than the camera does, THIS IS THE HARDEST JOB IN THE ENTIRE WORLD, AND THE BEST JOB I HAVE EVER HAD!

Happy Mother's Day to you!!!

Muffins for Mom's

Jenna with her two mom's!!
The luckiest girl in the world!

PS. I did this post while I was so suppose to be studding for a final! So it was quick! This was a very fun morning. Jenna had earlier in the week reminded me that she had TWO moms- I agreed and called to invite Melissa. Melissa is married to Michael and is wonderful! She is a great step-mom to the kids and a good friend to me!! So it is not just Jenna who is lucky buy me as well!!! It was fun for the three of us to hang out together and to celebrate Mom's!!! Motherhood is not only about barring children. "It takes a village to raise a child." I agree with that old saying and am thankful for Melissa in the sharing of raising the children!!!!!!!

The many hats I wear.....

(Thanksgiving 2009)

School is finally winding down, the last couple weeks had been filled with projects, papers, and presentations!!! This week I have a few things to do and only 1 final- I don't know how I got so lucky!!
The two weeks before this were the hardest and of course my parents went out of town. We managed great!! I kept up with school, but was feeling like I dropped the ball with the mom thing. I kept teasing that I have lost the Mother of the Year Award!! It was more silly things with forgetting homework, and not keeping dates and activities straight!!! The kids survived and somehow so did I.

All of this got me thinking about all the different "hats" I wear and how sometimes it feels so overwhelming. I know I also have these real high expectations for myself that I can never reach. With talking to the childrens teachers this week and a few other moms- it is not just me, it is just life!! I loved hearing a few really funny stories too. My favorite was where the dog chewed and shredded a library book and they sent it in with a note and money to pay for it!!

We all wear many different "hats" and have so much we are juggling. Life has its ups and downs!! I do have to say I am thankful to be a mother!! It is my favortist hat that I wear!! I mess up all the time and I am sure I will probably mess them up but, I love it!!! As I am sure all you mothers out there do as well. Our children are our greatest treasures!!
Well, with that being said and mother's day this weekend, and my last week of school-
I have homework for each of you who are reading my blog!!!!!
Take a moment and reflect then post on your blog why you love being a mom! You can tweak the assignment and tell a funny story or just a great story about you and motherhood. I love reading these stories!!! Then have others join you and do it as well!! Let's celebrate together being mothers!!!!

(I am thinking how I can do a give away with this- I think it might be fun!!)

I am going to do this also in another post!!
Love you all!!!
