Julie and Julia

I got the chance to finally go see, Julie and Julia, on Friday night with a few girl friends! I loved it! It is very enjoyable to watch!

I liked It not only because I laughed all the way through it but felt like I related a little bit and I learned some things from it! (I know these things I should know!!)

1- I learned or woke-up and realized I am young and have a lot of life ahead of me!!!
2-With that I still have a lot that can and will happen!
3-Nothing stays the same!
4- Goals and Challenges are really about the process not the end result!

After a pretty crazy couple weeks I needed this movie! I had a great time and then Yesterday, found a show on PBS showing reruns of Julia Child including her very first episode- I am not really into cooking but, really enjoyed watching her! Meryl Streep really does a great job!!!

The Age of Innocence

Sunday night Perkins were over and we were sitting outside around our firepit talking with the kids playing in the background. Peyton walks up to me and askes if he can run through the sprinklers that were going. (My dad I think is the only one that waters his lawn in Ohio) I gave in and said yes. I heard David behind a bush, "YES!" and they ran off. I turned to Laura and Matt who were in a conversation and said I think I just gave your son permission. They had no idea what I meant and kept on talking. Within 5 minutes David comes walking over soaked including socks and I start laughing- "I told you I thought I gave him permission!"

The kids took off their shirts- Jenna was pretending to be a boy and they really enjoyed themselves! How fun to be a kid again!!! It is truly the Age of Innocence!

Goodbye Summer...

The End of Summer
is here...

Peyton will probably hate this picture when he is older!!!

This symbolizes that we had a really great summer! I hate to say that it is over!
I loved being outdoors, swimming, all the fun trips we did together, barbeques, friends, playing outside, eating food from the garden, I love summer food, sleeping in, and staying up!! Summer also means birthdays and parties!!

Good Bye summer!!

Hello Fall!

I now need to get excited for Fall!!! Cooler Weather, sweaters, cooking, more school work, pumpkins, dressing up, eating, and more school work!! Luckily we have Halloween and Jenna's Birthday coming up! Lots to look forward too! I am trying to stay positive!

OVERWHELMED!!

As you can see by all the blogs in a row- We have been very busy! Life is a little crazy right now! I just wanted to give an update on all that is going on and why no one hears from me or sees me.
School is going great- I am taking 15 credits right now and may take one more credit! Trying to figure out a good schedule for classes, homework, observations, projects, and still have time for the kids!
Our Ward is growing so much- it is huge right now. I asked to be released from my calling as Enrichment Leader so that someone else with more time could have those blessings. I loved the calling- probably my favorite ever! I now have a class on Enrichment Night and am so busy that I could not put the time into it that I thought it desered.
So last Sunday I was sustained as a Temple Patron!! That means I was sustained to go to the Temple. (Not a Temple Worker!) I am so excited- I mean that is a great calling! I love to go to the Temple! They asked if I could try to go twice a month- so I am going to do the best I can with my busy schedule and no money! It is a made up calling- they have run out of callings for the members. I have also been helping in the nursery and with a special needs little girl.
Now if I add all the other things like Visiting Teaching, Babysitting, Kids and their school things, family obligations, and so on! I am also trying to work out- run, and sleep, and eat healthy!

So my life is going great! Busy but, WONDERFUL!! I hope to still keep friendships! I am so thankful for each of you!!! Know that you are in my thoughts, heart, and prayers!!

Peyton goes to Preschool

Showin off his cool stuff!

These are Peyton's cool Police shoes- Police man is his latest fixation and with these shoes he could possibly pull someone over!

Peyton was so excited to start School today! He had a great first day and we are both excited for the upcoming school year!

Labor Day

Sunday Night after a wonderful Family dinner we went out to the back yard and roasted marshmallows! My mom bought the fire pit for a future Birthday gift for my Dad- too bad he was not there to enjoy it!! We are excited to use it many times in the future!

The kids were going to camp out in the backyard- that wasn't working so we decided to build a tent in the screened in porch! They laid out there sleeping bags and watched a movie then wanted their beds at about 10 p.m. they finally went to bed!

Monday we went to HInkley Park and went boating! This was a really fun Family activity! It rained a little but was still really enjoyable! The rain came down hard after we were all done and off the boat! Yea!!

The kids "steered the ship" I think only Peyton figured out that Papa was really doing it!

This is the rain coming down! It was very pretty. I have thought many times how much we need rain and how thankful I am for rain even in my own personal life!
The whole experience was a positive one! We enjoyed wildlife, the weather, and each other!

Zip Line and Dinos- Oh My!

We took Becky, Loni and Morgan to the Dino Park. We had a blast!
We climbed, swung, slide, threw water balloons, and played!

They have a Zip line which is for those 4 feet and above! We had to try it! What a rush!!

I wasn't the bravest- that first jump is not an easy one!!

This is me screaming all the way down- Aren't you glad photos don't have sound!!

Peyton & Mommy's Special Day!

My kids have wanted some one on one time! This time it worked out in Peytons favor my chance! We were invited to go with friends from Peytons Preschool to go to Rolling Ridge Ranch. We have been there before about 2 years ago so we were excited to go again!! And then Friday morning Jenna seemed sick- took her to the Dr's and she had Strep!!! She stayed with my mom and me and Peyton went. We missed Jenna but, it was good to have some one on one time!! We loved it! Saw so many animals!!

Peyton loves alligators! This is a mommy and two babies, the dad was off by himself (typical!)

Peyton with his buddy- Brayden

We rode on a wagon pulled by horses through the ranch and then are given a bucket of food to feed the animals. They gather around knowing you have food- it is soo cool! Peyton took a little while to warm up but he got the hang of it!!

We saw lots of deer!

My favorite was Humphrey the camel! He was following beside the wagon. We must have not fed him enough. Just an FYI- I did feed him and pet him! It was soo cool!

There were many babies! I did love seeing all the babies!

Peyton with baby goats!

At the end they let all the kids drive the wagon! Peyton loved it- I think this was his favorite part!
It was such a neat experience with so many animals! We saw zebras, deer, elk, ostrich, emus, buffalo, water buffalo, pigs, cows, and so much more!!!

1st day of Kindergarten

Jenna was so excited for her very first day of Kindergarten!

New Dress, new back pack, and new shoes!

Peyton wanted to go with instead of staying behind! They do not like being apart too often! I love this picture! They are Best Friends!!

Well, Jenna had a really good first day! I was excited for her! We had some issues with the Bus Schedule so we got to drive her to school and walk her to class which Peyton and I were happy about! The school does things differently, yesterday was actually the first day but only the first half of the alphabet went. Today was the second half and they went not knowing who their teacher is. They do the KRAL testing and then we were suppose to get a call today to know which Teacher is hers. It is between two. We somehow got forgotten. So we will find out tomorrow. We think her teacher is Mrs. Lucas who we already love.
