So this is what I am learning....

I am taking a Courtship, Marriage, and Family Class and wanted to share what I was taught last week about dating. There are two theories I have learned about when it comes to dating the one is the theory of Mate Selection (Murstein) also known as the Filtering Model:

1- Proximity Filter- all the Eligible Mates

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

2- Stimulus Filter- Physical/ Personal Attractiveness

IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII

3- Value Filter- Comparison/ Similarity

IIIIIIII

4- Role Filter- Compatibility

5- Selection/ Engagement

6- Marriage!!!

So now what happens when there is not many if no Eligible Mates especially in my Exposure Pool? Class is not helping me!!!!!!!!!

JoshandJen said...: yes, i am totally with Stacy...(and have learned from the same personal experiece as you) The lord does have big plans for you and it will be in his time (which is the hardest part) just keep doing what you are doing (which is an amazing job at everything) and things will fall into place and happen when you least expect it to.
